Renedo, Asiana Next Door is an intimate restaurant with stylish decor composed of natural materials and carefully designed lighting. You can sample the fusion cuisine between Asian and Peruvian (taste their ceviche and the kimuchi de zamburiñas). They have a very acessible menu dégustation. Le Cabrera is the latest place dreamed up by one and only Sergi Arola
and is an exellent culinary stop. It is presented like a "gastrobar", with baroque decor which one has to say is a little over the top or you can treat yourself to the upmarket tapas at the bar.
Try the terrine of foie gras, beef tartare, the monkfish nuggets with Romesco sauce and even the patatas bravas accompanied by pan con tomate and a little glass of wine. A real treat.

Magasand is an old 19th century bus depot converted into a fast food restaurant, but suprisingly is dedicated to the philosophy of "Slow Life". Eating quickly does not necessarily mean eating badly. Their vegetable soups, original salads and sandwiches, made with different types of bread and high quality ingredients, are delicious. Furthermore the service is very attentive. The upper storey is perfect for eating something simple while flicking through the selection of magazines on fashion, design and architecture or connecting your computer thanks to the WiFi service. Indian restaurants are usually synonomous with kitsch decor. Other Indian restaurants in Madrid live up to this reputation but not the Tandoori Station. The decor which recalls the old trains in Bombay is very agreeable and if you like curry you will not be disapointed. We recommend el menu degustatción which allows you to try 5 different curries, all delicious. The mango lassi is a light dessert to follow a good meal. One word of warning: as the restaurant is right at the top of la calle Ortega y Gasset, if you want to drink a copa afterwards you will have to go in the car. Reservations necessary.Read less -
