Situated at an hour and a half from Madrid and a few kilometres from Sacedón, the río Guadiela is one of those magic places to discover with friends or family. The turquoise water isshelter for crayfish and all sorts of fish which make it perfect for fishermen. The cliffs serve as a refuge for a multitude of vultures. The best way to see and experience the charm of this beautiful river is by canoe. The more courageous can continue until the canyon of Javalera or the Bolarque reservoir. Those who stop earlier can enjoy the bathing pool and waterfalls down the cliff (from 2 to 7 metres).
Don't miss stopping at la Ermita de San Andrés, nestling in the cliff.

At long last some advances have been made if you want to cycle in Madrid.To get to know all the bike routes we recommend the guide BiciCity Madrid which has just come out. All the cycle tracks are mentioned (amoung others el anillo verde) aswell as all the main roads in the community of Madrid.

For those who still don't know, Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands which is really worth knowing. The volcanic landscape is magnificent and a complete change. You can stay in one of the "casas rurales" or "resorts" but a more fun idea, with children, is a yurt! El Lodge Hotel,
El Lodge a charming timber built hotel located 2100 metres high in the Sierra Nevada which has seamlessly been integrated into the ski station. You can rent your ski equipment and buy your ski package and go straight on up to the ski lift for a days skiing ....easy !

Hotel Rural Mirasierra
This relatively new hotel is located 20 minutes from the station Sierra Nevada, it does not quite have the charm of the El Lodge Hotel but the main attraction lies in the very reasonable prices from the large, clean rooms to the hearty breakfasts and dinners. There are also triple rooms and it's free for children under 12. If you're not crazy about skiing, you are close to Granada a very pleasant city to visit.Read less -
