Exhibition on the animal kingdom in Ancient Egypt

Animals, whether real or featured, wild or domestic, play a crucial role in Ancient Egypt and are omnipresent in day to day life. This exhibition portrays the function and importance of animal figures in the religious and cultural construction of pharaonic civilization.
Sculptures and headstones, tumblers and carafes, water and wall paintings, chests and amulets, sarcophagi and mummies, to the animal glorification in forms of statues and sphinx, over four hundred pieces that show the importance of animals in Ancient Egypt’s culture.
