Founded in 1969, King’s College is the largest group of British schools in Spain, and the first to have had a full UK accreditation through the Independent Schools Inspectorate.
King’s College School is a new and purpose-built campus located in La Moraleja, one of the most highly regarded residential areas of Madrid, just 15 kilometres from the centre of the city.
The school originally opened its doors in September 2007 and now educates over 500 children from ages 3 to 14 years old (Nursery to Year 9). The school is a co-educational day school, following the English National Curriculum, and ultimately prepares pupils to study for their IGCSE and GCE AS and A Levels, which are undertaken in Years 11, 12 and 13. (Ages 16-18)
As the school is a preparatory school, at the age of fourteen, at the end of National Curriculum Year 9, pupils transfer to the main school site in Soto de Viñuelas to complete their final four years of study.
The modern on-site facilities include a library, ICT centre, Science laboratory, music room, multi-purpose sports surface and gymnasium.
King’s College has high academic standards and excellent examination results and students go on to some of the world’s best universities, including Oxford, Cambridge and Yale, just to mention a few.
